Our automated system will contact you directly by a text message and email when an item with your ID tag reference is reported found. You will receive a description of the item found and the finders contact details to enable you to arrange the collection/return of your property. Your details are not revealed to the finder and you may remain anonymous.

    You follow the instructions on the IDTagFound.com Tag and log on to IDTagFound.com Click on REPORT IT HERE and enter the ID Tag ref number and fill in your contact details on the form to be forwarded to the owner of the registered Tag.
  12. Do I get a reward for reporting an item found?
    As a token of our appreciation to the finder of any tagged item found and reported to IDTagFound.com we will send to them a complimentary set of Tags with one years free membership upon confirmation of the safe return of the item by the owner to us. Subject to our terms and conditions.
  13. Can I buy IDTagFound.com tags as a present?
    Yes but make sure that you have purchased a NEW MEMBERS PACK, which has the first year’s membership included in the price. You must ensure that the recipient has an email address to be able to open the account in their name and register the tags. They will also need the customer order activation reference number to be able to register the tags. This is sent to the email address registered for the delivery of the tags. If you received this please ensure that you supply it with the tag pack for the recipient to be able to complete the registration process.
  14. I have received an IDTagFound.com tag pack as a present. What do I do?
    Log on to IDTagFound.com and select activate tags. Enter the order activation reference number supplied to you with the Tags, click submit and complete the new customer registration form which must include an email address, upon completion click continue. The Tags and your account are now live. If you received the Tags as a present you must request the order activation reference number, which was emailed to the person who gave them to you to enable you to register them in your name.
  15. What do I do if I need more ID tags?
    Log on to IDTagFound.com and log in as a member choose from the options available and purchase your tags. You can purchase any of the tag packs including the new members starter pack pack.

    Your registration details are placed on a secure data storage system. We will not reveal the information you provided to any other party or permit it to be used for any other purpose than direct contact with yourself by IDTagFound.com.

  18. Why should I not put my name and address on my bag?
    It is not advisable to put your name and address or telephone number on any type of label or ID Tag. Postcodes have been used to ID mark various items however they are not easily recognisable and can be off putting due to the time required to trace and contact you.
  19. Is it worth id tagging my property?
    Is it worth ID tagging your property? This is a question only you can answer, but in so doing consider the financial and emotional consequences of not getting your items returned.
  20. What do you recommend I use to tag soft luggage items?
    It can be difficult to attach any label tag to a soft luggage item unless you can locate a stable flat surface. That is why we have introduced our Lock - it tag to enable you to effectively tag such items. You can see pictures of this on our applications pages. Remember that once the Lock-It tag has been securely closed you cannot remove it without a cutting tool such as a pair of snips or wire cutters.
  21. How do I attach my keys to your Lock-It tag?
    You can attach a single key or several keys onto the metal hasp before permanently locking the tag. You cannot remove the keys once the hasp has been locked without a removal tool such as a pair of snips or wire cutters.     If your keys have a fob you can apply one of our small labels to it. If you wish to secure your keys to the ID Tag use one of our Lock-It Tags. These are individually numbered for identification purposes. This enables you to identify each key or keys on the Id Tag if reported found.
